Our Recruitment Process

Initial Consultation

Our journey with each client begins with a thorough consultation to identify the skills gaps and open roles within their organization.

This meeting is crucial for understanding not only the roles but also the specific attributes and skills that would contribute to a candidate’s success.

Understanding the Role

We dive deep into the demands of each role, determining essential requirements, desirable skills, and necessary tools and software.

This comprehensive understanding ensures that we know exactly what makes a candidate suitable for your business.

Job Description and Advertising

With the role clearly defined, we either craft a custom job description or refine one provided by the client.

There’s no charge for starting this process—just a detailed and approved job description is all that is required to start the process.

We then advertise the position across multiple job boards and social media platforms to attract a wide pool of applicants.

Vetting and Background Checks

Our in-house recruitment team meticulously vets each applicant against the job description.

We conduct thorough background checks, including police or NBI clearances, and engage with previous employers to verify work history and suitability.

Remote Work Viability

(where applicable)

Given the remote nature of the work, we assess each candidate’s home office setup, ensuring that their environment and internet speed are conducive to full workday productivity.

We also review their technical equipment to confirm that it meets the necessary specifications.

Shortlisting Candidates

Candidates who meet our rigorous standards are shortlisted.

This list, complete with resumes, work-from-home setups, individual pricing, and other pertinent details, is sent to the client for review.

Clients can then schedule interviews with candidates they believe could be a good fit.

Client Decision and Formal Agreement

The final hiring decision rests with the client. Upon choosing a suitable candidate, Outdesk facilitates the formal agreement and issues the invoice for the first month’s service at the quoted price.

From here it is a simple month to month agreement and payment to cover salaries and costs. 

 

Onboarding and Induction

New hires undergo a one-day training session to familiarise themselves with Outdesk’s systems and the specific requirements of their new role.

We request that clients complete our templated induction plan outlining key milestones for the employee’s integration and ongoing development.

Ongoing Support and HR Management

Our HR team stays actively involved, conducting monthly meetings and catch-ups with the client to discuss the progress and well-being of the staff member.

This ongoing dialogue ensures that any issues are promptly addressed and that the placement remains successful.
